Police FC and SC Villa draw for the 6th consecutive time

This evening at the Philip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, Police FC and SC have shared spoils for the 6th successive time in their previous six meetings .

Villa have however now gone 9 games without tasting victory whereas Police FC have extended their winless streak to 4 games.

The visitors showed more intentions of breaking the status quo but chances to Ronald Sekiganda and Nicholas Kabonge went begging.

The first 45 minutes ended in square but Police FC were forced into an early substitution when returning captain Tonny Mawejje replaced Fahad Kizito in the 38th minute.

Villa again took the bull by the horn determined to put an end to a very awkward run of 8 games without a single win.

Top scorer Nicholas Kabonge provided the rays of hope with a beautiful strike that beat Tom Ikarah to give Villa a deserved lead in the 55th minute. His goal came at the end of some good work from Saddam Masereka.

Villa’s joy was short lived as Police quickly reacted to restore parity only 3 minutes later.

Former Villa striker Herman Wasswa pounced on a poorly cleared ball to hit a rebound that debutant Martin Senkooto couldn’t deal with.

Center referee Shamirah Nabadda penalised Ikarah with a red card punishing him for catching the ball outside his area and Police finished the game with 10 men.
