Tito Okello, Allan Kayiwa, Abraham Ndugwa, Frank Tumwesigye made no mistake scoring their penalties whereas Brian Ahebwa, Hillary Mukundane and Pisitis Barenge converted Mbarara City’s kicks.

The fans at the Stadium enjoyed a fascinating contest as both sides created numerous goal scoring opportunities.

In the 22nd minute, Paul Mucureezi forced Mutombora into a brilliant save from close range.

Moments later, youngster Karim Wantambala was denied by Mbarara City goalie Ronald Ssekeba.

At the stroke of halftime, Mutombora again made a remarkable stop to deny Ahebwa with a finger tip save.

Early in the second period, Watambala had his shot hit the bar before forcing Ssekeba into another vital save moments later.

With the clock ticking, Ahebwa fired the visitors into the lead in the 77th minute capitalising on a miscommunication between Mutombora and his captain Halid Lwaliwa.

The lead short lived when second half substitute Tito restored parity to send the Kitende faithfuls into a frenzy.

Makweuth Wol nearly won it for the Mbarara based side five minutes to end normal time but was denied by Mutombora.

Mbarara City’s Solomon Okwalinga and Siraje Sentamu ( Vipers) were both booked.

Allan Kayiwa was introduced on in the second half for his debut replacing Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula who had little impact on the game.

Frank Tumwesigye “Zaga” and Tito Okello were also brought on for Innocent Wafula and Denis Mwemwezi respectively.

The visitors also brought on Swalik “Bebe” Ssegujja for Ivan Eyam.

Vipers now await the winner between KCCA FC and Onduparaka in the final slated for 24th August.
