Tooro United head coach Wasswa Bbosa and Onduparaka FC skipper Toha Rashid have been named the Pilsner Coach and player of the month of February award.
Bbosa won four matches, drew three and lost once in the eight league games that his side played to beat Vipers’ Michael Nam Ouma. The eight games also included two from the month of January.
Bbosa applauded Pilsner for recognising his efforts and believe this will motivate him for more success
“I thank Pilsner brand for recognising me and I am really humbled that I have won this accolade. This will motivate me and achieve more success with my club.” Stated Bbosa.
Toha Rashid also walked away with the player of the month award following his heroic performances against URA FC and Mbarara City. The other nominees for the player of the month accolade were Shafik Kagimu of URA FC and Nicholas Kasozi (KCCA FC).
Toha thanked his teammates and thanked Pilsner for awarding him for his heroic works.
“It’s a privilege to be here and I am so happy to scoop this award, it’s not easy for a defender to come out and win. I would like to thank my teammates for the support and I believe we shall continue to perform as a team in the next games.
Bbosa and Toha received one million Ugandan shillings each and an accolade.
Toha joins Joel Madondo, Gaddafi Gadinho Anguzu, Paul Mucureezi who have also scooped the award previously.
The other coaches to have won the Pilsner monthly award are former Vipers head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza, KCCA FC’s Mike Mutebi and Livingstone Mbabazi of Mbarara City.
