URA FC head coach Sam Simbwa Bamweyana and Kirinya Jinja SS FC midfielder David Bagoole have been named the Pilsner coach and player of the month of March.
Simbwa’s side accumulated 7 points, scored 4 and only conceded once to rise to third place on the 16 team log. He beat KCCA FC’s Mike Mutebi and Wasswa Bbosa of Tooro United.
In his remarks Simbwa thanked Pilsner for recognising his efforts and dedicated the award to his mother currently at Butabika.
“I am happy that finally I have been recognized and named the coach of the month of March.”
This is great for us in terms of motivation, I thank my players and assistants for the support and I reward I will give them the money.”

Bagoole scored two goals last month and was named man of the match against SC Villa. He beat KCCA FC’s Nicholas Kasozi and Cromwell Rwothomio of URA FC.

Simbwa and Bagoole also received a cash prize of UGX one million each from Pilsner.
