SC Villa tactician Petros Koukouras has retorted that his team needs reinforcements if they are to return their season back on track.

Villa are currently languishing in the bottom half of the log, having only collected 8 points out of 8 games. They have only won twice in the process and lost four times.

The Greek coach believes that once granted some additions to the young squad, they will be able to compete.

“We know what the team needs and we work towards it. There is no one who feels more pain than us for all this situation. We spend hours on a daily basis to improve things. Many players had made a massive progress since the beginning of the year but they also need support of new players.”

” Hopefully with the support of the management of the team we can solve most of our problems very soon and be more competitive in the second round”.

Petros Koukouras told SWIFT SPORTSUGANDA.

Ahead of the Arua Hill in one of their three rescheduled matches, Koukouras ¸ that he and the technical team have done some thorough research on their opponents and are ready to engage them.

Creative midfielder Mutyaba is available for selection

” We know that they are a very strong team. They proved it since their very first game in UPL against express. We know their strengths and their weaknesses we try to prepare both mentally and tactically for the game”.

” Unfortunately we don’t have much time to prepare properly. Lately we had too many games in short period of time and the players are very tired as we have only 18 players available and it’s the same players who played the majority of the matches.”

Villa’s recent form is appaling , having picked a single victory from their last five matches and in their recent outing, they lost to newly promoted Gaddafi FC in Jinja.

They will need to bounce back but without the suspended Amir Kakomo who saw red against Gaddafi.

Youngster Travis Mutyaba is available again after being rested for the Gaddafi match after he had travelled with the Cranes for their friendly match with Tanzania.
