Pemba Warriors and Betway Power fight for 3rd place

After a great regular season in which they lost only 2 games and finished top of the table as well as reaching the semis, Warriors take on Power in a 3rd place battle.

Pemba Warriors eliminated JKL Dolphins at quarter finals winning 2 of the 3 games and losing 1.

However, Warriors would later get eliminated by K.I.U Titans in the semi finals winning the first game but losing 3 consecutive games in the best of 5 series. The result helped K.I.U reach their first NBL final ever leaving Warriors to compete for the 3rd place.

On the other hand, Betway Power had a tremendous season ,finishing 3rd on table in the regular season as well as reaching the FIBA zone V semi finals.

Power went on eliminating Ndejje University Angels in the NBL quarter finals sweeping them in the best of 3 series.

But would later get humiliated by City Oilers who swept them in the semis leaving them with a 3rd place opportunity.

Speaking a bout Warriors’ season, Coach Ronnie Mutebi had this to say a bout Power,

” Power was one of the teams that gave us a hard time especially in the second half,they looked composed that we had to win the game with a single point.”

Betway Power’s Micheal Mikiadi has scored 482 points leading the scorers’ chart followed by Warriors’ Michael Bunzangu on 452.

In the Women’s division 3rd place play off, A1 Challenge who lost semi finals to KCCA Leopards will take on JKL Lady Dolphins who were eliminated by defending champions , UCU Lady Canons.
