League debutants Paidha Black Angels have signed Dickens “Diarra” Okwir on loan from Vipers Sports Club until the end of the season.
Okwir found playing time at Vipers hard to come his way making a handful of appearances since making a pre-season move to Kitende.
The youthful striker had joined Vipers on a three year deal last year in June following his outstanding exploits at Amuka Bright Stars that saw him emerge FUFA Big League top scorer with 12 goals.
Paidha Black Angels welcome Okwir with much aplomb after losing their inspirational skipper Cromwell Abang Rwothomio to URA FC a week ago.
The former Onduparaka FC and Sporting United attacker is expected to inspire Paidha Black Angels from the relegation quagmire to safety.
Paidha Black Angels have also acquired 8 other new players. These are Stephen Mwaka, Jerome Okotcha, James Mwambede, Stephen Matega, Mathias Okwalinga, Hassan Fatib, Pascal Irasa and Pius Dibala.
The Zombo outfit is stuck at the bottom of the 16-team table having managed only 7 points from15 outings. Paidha Black Angels have only managed one victory, a 2-1 against Police, 4 draws and suffered 10 defeats.
The Blacks will open up their second round campaign with a home duel against Ndejje University at the Greenlight stadium on Friday 1st February.
They walk into the second and final half of the season after indefinitely suspending their coach Mohammed Kisekka over allegations of unethical behavior, fraud and indiscipline.
