Orit strikes as Mbarara City edge Tooro United

Mbarara City regained a winning touch after defeating Tooro United by a goal to nil at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara.

Offensive midfielder Ibrahim Orit scored the lone goal that separated the Ankole Lions and Wasswa Bbosa coached men.

Orit struck the all important goal which is also his third of the season in the 29th minute of the game making him the club’s top scorer.

The result extends Mbarara City’s brilliant home record to 5 wins from 6 games this season.

No player was booked by referee Ali Kaddu while Mbarara City’s stand in captain Hillary Mukundane was named man of the match.

Tooro United remain 11th with 10 points accumulated from 11 games while Victory propels Livingstone Mbabazi’s side to the 4th place with 20 points.

Match day 12 pits Tooro United with Maroons FC at Buhinga on Friday while Mbarara City will have to wait for a confirmed date to face Vipers SC.
