After the closure of the mid-season transfer window in Uganda, Vipers Sc secured signature of top striker Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuma to bolster their ranks at the St.Mary’s stadium.

Prior to the second round , www.SwiftportsUg.com takes a keen insight into and examines his acquisition for the Kitende based club.

Sserunkuma must hit the ground running at Kitende. He must work tirelessly to pay the trust offered to him by the hierarchy at St.Mary’s stadium. He is up and out to face competition from the already tested club forwards in Milton Karisa, Erisa Ssekisambu, Musa Clovis Mbayi and Tonny Odur and therefore, must work hard to prove his worth in order to catch the eye of Portuguese coach Miguel Duarte Da Coasta. Indeed Sserunkuma appreciates the kind of competition he is about to face. After his signature, he talked to Vipers’ Sc official website and said ;

” I know i have to prove myself hear and i will give my best to boost the team on fighting for trophy this season”.

The implication is that he is aware of the hard task ahead of him and he is bound to do whatever it takes to achieve exactly that.

What about the theory that Sserunkuma will still have the need to score more goals to his name so he can either be league topscorer or even MVP this season.

Also, the fact that his performance in the first round has inspired his move to Vipers is another inspiration itself that he may live to see foreign based clubs yarn for his signature at the end of the season.

Further more, the revival of Geoffery Sserunkuma’s career and his apparent move to Zambia is another inspiration that may see Muzeyi work hard to achieve exactly that.

All that may work to the advantage of the Kitende based side and they are likely to be the first direct beneficiaries ( just like Express FC has been in the first round ) of Muzeyi hard work in his bid to achieve his heart’s desires

However, the former Express FC marksman is no doubt a force to reckon with. Muzeyi formerly played his professional stint in Kenya with Nairobi City stars from where he joined Gormahia fc where he made much of his footballing history.

On his return to Express FC, Muzeyi has only appeared for the first round and scored 6 goals to his name despite his parent team struggling in the relegation zone by the end of the round.

With a string of well experienced midfielders such as Taddeo Lwanga , Moses Waisswa, Tom Matsiko among others behind his back, definitely defenders and goalkeepers of the current generation will live testify.

Vipers Sc currently lie 3rd on the log of 16teams with 26points and Milton Kaliisa is their current topscorer with 6goals.
