Uganda Cranes captain Denis Masinde Onyango expects a tough contest against South Sudan tomorrow in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
“I expect a tough encounter against South Sudan since we are going to play in an empty stadium.
“The other thing is that South Sudan are our neighbours and we have always found it difficult to overcome such opponents but we are to are to remain focused and get the needed results.”
“Our fans have always supported but this time will have cheer us from home due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. I call upon them to pray for us to win tomorrow.”
Due to Covid19 restrictions, CAF announced that the game will be played behind closed doors at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende. The two teams will then face off on 17th November in Nairobi, Kenya.
Uganda is currently top of group B with four points while South Sudan are yet to register any single point in the two games they have played.
