Onduparaka humbles Masavu to bounce back to winning ways

A first half brace from Viane Sekajugo and Ceaser Okhuti’s goal in the 59th minute were enough to give Onduparaka FC a comfortable 3-0 win over bottom placed Masavu FC in Arua.

Viane Ssekajugo gave the caterpillars an early lead in the 3rd minute when he capitalized on a goal mouth scramble to head home his third of the season.

The early goal game Onduparaka confidence and rhythm to dominate midfield through Rajab Kakooza, Oscar Agaba and Jamal Malish.

In the 21st minute Viane Ssekajugo doubled the lead through a header off a well delivered cross from right back Aggrey Kirya stretching the lead from Masavu’s reach.

Joseph Mutyaba the Masavu coach opted for an tactically change bringing off defender Sande Mukiibi for winger James Kasibante with hopes of chasing the game.

On coming back in second half, Ceaser Okhuti put the icing on the cake with an ease finish capitalizing on a lapse by Mansoor Mutumba in the 59th minute.

Yafesi Mubiru, John Wesley Kisakye and Allan Busobozi were used substitutes for Onduparaka replacing Malish Jamal, Ceaser Okhuti and Rajab Kakooza respectively.

Masavu made more changes in the second half bringing on Ivan Lubaale for Rashid Kyambadde and Godfrey Kaana for Ddumba Sadala.

Right back Moses Kiggundu was cautioned for foul play on Viane Sekajugo 8 minutes to normal time.

Victory propels the Arua outfit to the 5th place on 33 points and keeps Masavu on the bottom of the AUPL log with 8 games left.

Onduparaka will play against Proline at Lugogo in their subsequent fixture on Wednesday 4th April whereas Masavu will visit Police at Namboole on the same date.
