Onduparaka FC piles more misery on the free falling Soana

By: Gladys Zawedde

Onduparaka spelt more doom and misery on Soana and consequently burried them into the relegation mix.

Jamal Malish’s 23rd minute strike after beating the entire Soana defense was the difference between the two sides

Steven Bengo, Allan Kayiwa and Simon Okwi created chances for the hosts but defenders Aggrey Kirya, Rashid Okocha, Muhamood Hassan, Rashid Toha were too organised to give them chance as Nicholas Ssebwato was good in commanding his defence.

15 times to half time Jamal Malish failed to double for his with only the keeper to beat but his effort went way ward.

On coming back in the second half Abu Kigenyi the Soana FC stand in coach introduced Willy Kavuma for Steven in search for an equaliser.

Soana FC will blame substitute Steven Ategeka who had earlier replaced Petit Wanok in the 68th minute for failing to convert a keeper to beat in the 68th minute despite having moved away from the line.

A loss has pushed Soana FC a position behind to 13th with 28 points collected from 27 games

Despite a win Onduparaka has not moved positions but comfortably seats in the 4th position with 45 points. This was their 18th clean sheet of the season.

Kabon Living was cautioned for foul play on Paddy Muhumuza, Muhamood Hassan for holding the ball and Nicholas Ssebwato time wasting.

Onduparaka FC will be paying a visit to Mbarara city on 8th May in their next fixture as Soana will be playing.
