Steven Omvia scored the all important goal in Tooro United’s slim 1-0 victory over Police FC at Buhinga grounds in Fort Portal.
Omvia was on the receiving end of a well laid ball from Simon Serunkuma to power home the decisive goal in the 28th minute.
The victory meant that Wasswa Bbosa coached men have now won 7 games and drawn thrice since shifting to Buhinga as their home ground.
Omvia and teammate Musa Mukasa were booked in the 28th and 54th minutes respectively.
Mid-season recruit Edgar Sharp Bwogi was the only Police FC player cautioned by referee Shamira Nabadda.
Tooro United remain 7th on the 16-team log with 32 points while Police slip to the 9th place with 29 points accumulated from 22 league games.
Next on agenda for Tooro United will be another home encounter with KCCA FC on Wednesday 6th March.
The Cops will seek to make amends when they visit BUL FC at the Njeru technical center in Jinja on the same day.
