OFFICIAL: Tanzania’s Young Africans unveil Khalid Aucho

Young Africans (Yanga SC) have completed the signing of Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho on a two year contract.

The Cranes midfielder has been officially unveiled by the Tanzanian giants on Monday afternoon as earlier reported by this website.

Aucho has been a free agent after leaving Egyptian side Misr El Makkasa last week and attracted strong interest from Simba and Ismaily SC.

He becomes the fifth signing of Yanga in the current transfer window following the acquisition of Yusuph Athumani, Malian goalkeeper Djidui Diarra (Stade Malien) and Congolese trio of Fiston Mayele (AS Vita), Heritier Makambo (Horoya) and Djuma Shabani (AS Vita).

Yanga SC will represent Tanzania in the 2021/22 CAF Champions League after finishing runners up in the league last season.

Aucho has also previously played for Simba in Uganda, Tusker and Gor Mahia in Kenya, Serbian sides Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd and East Bengal and Churchill Brothers of India.
