OFFICIAL: SC Villa unveil youngster Derrick Ssekiranda

Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa have officially unveiled forward Derrick Ssekiranda from Mengo United.

The former KCCA U17 youngster has signed an employment contract of two years and will don shirt 16 previously worn by the departed Ibrahim Kibumba.

Ssekiranda has previously been part of Proline Soccer Academy, Jolly Stars Football Club, Kayosa SC, KJT and Mengo United.

He joins new signings at the club who include Martin Ssenkooto, Meddie Kibirige, Nasser Lukwago, Geoffrey Gofin Oyirwoth, Muhammad Ssenoga, Isaac Ogwang, Mohammed Nsereko, Andrew Kiwanuka and Mike Sekiganda.

The club rewarded midfielder Amir Zake Kakomo, goalkeeper Saidi Keni, defenders Moses Kiggundu and Joseph Nsubuga with new contracts.

SC Villa under Edward Kaziba completed the 2019-20 season with 46 points from 25 points when the league was ended abruptly due to the pandemic.

The forthcoming coming UPL season is expected to kick off in November.
