The match kick off was delayed by 30 minutes due to the excessive water on the pitch following a heavy down pour.

At 5:00pm, the game kicked off and within 5 minutes, Abdallah Mubiru’s men were in the lead thanks to Ocen’s exquisite strike.

Police’s lead short lived as Patrick Gonahasa headed home an Alex Komakech well delivered set piece 2 minutes later.

At the start of the second stanza, Mubiru brought on youngster Johnson Odong for Ogik Norman in a bid to restore his team’s lead.

His equal number James Odoch brought on David Kiiza and Charles Sebutinde for Wesley John Kisakye and Martin Arinaitwe.

Nyamityobora’s derby winner Joseph Akandwanaho almost replicated his heroics but unfortunately saw his header come off the cross bar.

Ocen put Police back into the lead and ultimately won it with another shot from outside the box in the 63rd minute.

Hassan Kalega Gaata was the only player cautioned on the evening after fouling Charles Sebutinde at the stroke of full-time.

The win takes Police to 6 points and 9th on the table while Nyamityobora sit 15th with only 3 points.

Nyamityobora will return to action against URA on 2nd – November at Mandela National Stadium whereas Police will face off with Maroons in their next game on 4th- November at Luzira Prisons Grounds.
