Nyamityobora Football Club have captured the signature of Uganda U-20 (Hippos) starlet Sadam Masereka.
The former Buddo S.S student becomes the 9th signing of the Asaph Mwebaze coached side who have been one of the busiest in the mid-season transfer window.
Masereka joins new signings who include; Goalkeeper Denis Otim (Mbarara FC), Joel Ayoku (Doves All Stars), Edgar Mujuni (Agape Lions) John Serunjogi (Kikyusa Cream), Damien Nakalema (Water FC),Fred Mayindi (Riverside Forest Park), Peter Mutebi (Rushere FC) and James Tongi (Bweyogerere FC).
Masereka is a former Lugazi Homeland and Buddo SS student and player. He was instrumental in Buddo SS’ success of winning the 2018 National Post Primary Schools championship as well as the East African cup.
The youthful attacker is remembered for coming off the bench and scoring on his debut in the U-20 colours as the Hippos thumped South Sudan last year at Lugogo.
Masereka is expected to bolster Nyamityobora’s forward line that consists of players like Ibrahim Juma Dada, Peter Mutebi, Damien Nakalema, John Sserunjogi among others.
His signing comes on the eve of Nyamityobora’s 4-1 win over Police. The Mbarara outfit is 14th on table having managed 12 points from 16 games.
