Striker Ibrahim Nsimbe has scored three goals as MYDA earned a sensational first victory in front of their home fans.
The Tororo based team had lost 8 times and picked only 3 points at home prior to this emphatic win.
Nsimbe’s first goal came in the 20th minute after Busoga had been denied a chance to go infront.
Antony Mayanja had headed in Joseph Opolot’s inviting header but his effort was ruled off for offside in the 11th minute.
8 minutes after Nsimbe had scored the opener, Busoga were awarded a penalty which Sharif Kimbowa failed to convert.
Before the half time break, that man Nsimbe completed his brace with a super finish that game MYDA an upper hand going into the breather .
Returning for the second period, Jerome Kirya tried to pull one back for Busoga but goal keeper Andrew Sekandi was equal to the challenge.
On minute 63, Nsimbe sealed his hat trick with the goal that broke camel’s back for Busoga and ultimately condemned them to their 11th loss of the season and throwing their survival hopes in shambles.
MYDA move to 14 points, closing the gap on 14th placed Kyetume to 6 points and 12 behind 13th placed Busoga with 6 games left to play.
MYDA will next visit Kitara in Masindi on 18th May whereas Busoga will have it tough against the title chasing Express FC on the same date at Njeru.
