No Senkatuka as reviving Soltilo Bright Stars stand in Vipers’ title surge

Vipers SC will be seeking to extend their lead at the Uganda Premier League table when they host Soltilo Bright Stars on Wednesday at the St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Venoms come into this contest after eliminating Kalongo United 3-1 in the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup

Bright Stars have improved since Paul Kiwanuka returned at the helms and last week they shocked KCCA FC by winning at Lugogo in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Vipers are top of the log with 40 points garnered in 18 games while Bright Stars are second from bottom with 16 points.

The hosts have will be boosted by the return of Bright Anukani and Frank Tumwesigye who recovered from their respective injuries.

Cesar Manzoki who did not finish the game at Kalongo Technical centre is part of the match day squad.

The visitors will again miss the services of forward Nelson Senkatuka through injury.

Methodius Jungu is available after recovering from injury that kept him out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup tie at KCCA.

This will be the 17th meeting between the two sides, Vipers have managed 9 wins and 7 have ended in stalemates in the previous 16. Bright Stars have never beaten Vipers.

This season, Bright Stars have only managed to win once on the road, their 2-1 victory at Villa last month.
