How time flies!! 8 months ago seems a long time but not so many SC Villa fans will forget when a relegation fighting Police FC fought from 2 goals down to deny their title challenge hopes.
Yasin Mugume and Rahmat Senfuka scored in the last 20 minutes to send the match in a stalemate when Emmanuel Okwi and Umar Kasumba had already scored 2 for SC Villa.
It’s on the same venue that SC Villa will host Police FC a side that has always loved to spoil for SC Villa having also beaten them on the finals of the 2005-06 league play off.
The last 7 meetings between these sides have seen SC Villa win only once and Police once, the rest ending in stalemates. Including a 1-1 stalemate in the first round of the 2017/18 season.
Such a huge concern has called for more intense preparation for the title chasing Villa and a reason for caution to the players as stressed by Paul Mukatabala.
“We are very much aware of the damage Police can cause, they are under not any pressure but we are chasing the title. We need to be careful as we approach them but that does not mean we should lose focus.”
“Our prime target is going for all 3 points as there is no room for error since our challengers are winning games. We are ready for the challenge”. Mukatabala told Swift sports

SC Villa welcome back Joseph Nsubuga and Abel Etrude who missed the trip to Kavumba through injury, but Godfrey Lwesibawa is sidelined by the injury he received from the 2-0 victory over Soana.
For Police, left back Aggrey Madoi will not travel with the squad due to illness, but Douglas Kisembo, Martin Mpuuga and Steven Mugisa will be available for selection.
Victory for Villa will push them further away from KCCA FC who won their game against UPDF FC.
Police will consolidate their 6 place with any positive result.
