Uganda Cranes and Azam FC roving right back Nicholas Wakiro Wadada says his recent scintillating form in Tanzania is a result of courage and strong mentality.

No player has provided more assists in the Tanzanian league than Wadada who has so far registered six despite being a defender.

” It all comes with great courage and hard work because playing away from home is not something easy. It is challenging but by God’s grace and a strong mentality everything is going on well.”

Wadada says in an interview with this website.

” Having the highest number of assists in the league is a pushing factor that prompts me to work harder every time I step on the pitch.” He adds.

The former Vipers SC captain says playing on a higher level than the Tanzanian league is his new target.

” Nothing is impossible, so I am aiming at making a progress from the Tanzanian league to a higher level. I know when you make any target and work so hard, you are bound to achieve it. So that’s why I am setting that as my new target and I know I will make it through hard work.”

It was on the account of his tremendous exploits that Azam FC opted to further Wadada’s contract to one more year early last month.

Wadada’s relentless moves on the right flank have also brought forth one goal this season which came in the 2-1 win over Biashara United last November.

He will be back in action when Azam FC host Tanzania Prisons FC at the Chamazi complex on Wednesday 5th February.
