New UPL entrants express interest in signing Vipers striker

Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Arua Hill are interested in signing Vipers SC striker Muhammad Shaban.

Swift Sports understands that the former Raja Casablanca forward is ready to return to Arua in the current transfer window. He still has a year left on his contract at Vipers.

Shaban’s career at Vipers has horrendously been affected by injuries that has seen have limited playing time at Kitende.

Shaban joined Vipers at the start of the 2019/20 season on a two year season.

During the 2019/20 season, Shaban did not make any appearance for the four time Uganda Premier League champions due to a knee injury.

The hardworking striker has also previously featured for Onduparaka FC, KCCA FC and Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

At Raja Casablanca he only made 7 appearances and scored one goal for the senior side.

He represented Uganda at the 2017 COSAFA U20 where he finished as the top scorer and was part of the Uganda Cranes 2017 AFCON team in Gabon.

Shaban also took part in the 2018 and 2020 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).
