New UNF Executive unveils new offices and a four year strategic plan

The Uganda Netball Federation has on Tuesday, July 2021 unveiled their offices at the Old Kampala Sports Arena Complex.

On the same ceremony, the new Netball Executive officially launched a four year strategic plan, administrative offices and a new flag.

The event was graced by Hon.Denis Hamson Obua, Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa (Director St. Mary’s Boarding SSS Kitende and President Vipers SC), Justus Mugisha (President Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Association- FEASSA and FUFA first Vice President) and Emmanuel Ben Misagga (President Nyamityobora Football Club).

Obua promised to support the Netball fraternity and called upon the federation to lobby form various stakeholders for the good of the game

“I urge the Federation to embrace the Corporate development, you should not hesitate to consult at all times.” We shall give support as the ministry for the good of the game of Netball in the country.” Obua stated

Sarah Babirye Kityo the Federation President promised to professionalize the game and bring more corporate companies to support the game

“The new leadership of Uganda Netball Federation intends to further professionalize the game, lobby for more resource mobilization, capacity building, establish a strong netball secretariat, strengthen culture through netball, promote equity in the game and foster accountability at all times in all aspects.” Said Babirye

State minister for Sports Hamson Obua and UNF President Sarah Babirye officially unveil the Federation offices at Old Kampala Sports complex

Mulindwa believes that through unity will help in the development of the game.

“Netball is a great game that is played both in urban and rural areas. Through unity, we can join hands to see the growth and development of this sport in the country.”

The Netball Uganda Federation objective during the four term will aim at key strategic pillars of governance, finance and administration, marketing, branding, communications; competitions, events and national teams.
