Offensive midfielder Jamir Nvule Kisitu has officially joined Soltilo Bright Stars from FUFA Big League outfit Kitara FC on a three-year contract.

The artistic midfielder says he is keen to use his spell at Soltilo Bright Stars as an opportunity to showcase his potential as well as guiding the club to greater heights.

” This is a new challenge in life altogether and I am humbled to join Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club. I will embrace this opportunity with both hands and use it as a platform to play well, fight for as much playing time as possible and at the end of the day help the team perform well.”

Nvule told Kawowo Sports after completing his move.

The creative midfielder played a starring role in Kitara FC’s campaign last season scoring five goals and registering six assists.

Prior to joining Kitara FC at the start of the previous season, Nvule had a brief stint at Onduparaka and featured for the Caterpillars in the Pilsner Super 8 tournament.

” Onduparaka Football Club had given me the opportunity to play there last season but they turned it around. Somehow, it was a blessing in disguise. By that time, I had just come from a spell out and was only returning into action after a long time. When the opportunity failed after the super cup, it was time to recollect the pieces and I refocused at Kitara, worked hard and here I am again.”

He opened up on his brief spell with Onduparaka.

Nvule is a former Kiboga Young and Kampala University player who also previously played for Ssingo and Buwekula in the Masaza Cup.

He can ably play as a support striker, a winger on either flank and as an offensive midfielder with a knack of creativity and an eye for goal.

Nvule, Samson Mutyaba, Samuel Sekamatte Kayongo, Ibrahim Kibumba, Saddam Masereka, Warren Buule, Emmanuel Loki, Marvin Ssemayange, Benson Wagima and Gabriel Elagu are the club’s signings in the ongoing primary transfer window.

Soltilo Bright Stars have also acquired Joseph Janjali, who was the club’s top scorer last season with six goals, on a permanent two-year deal from Vipers SC.

Defenders Derrick Ngoobi and Andrew Kaggwa have already signed contract extensions while Jamil Kaliisa left for Vipers SC.

Baker Mboowa will serve as the club’s head coach while Simon Peter Mugerwa will be his immediate assistant.

Bright Stars who have now changed their name to Soltilo Bright Stars this week, finished 12th last season with 29 points accumulated from the 25 games played.
