New league entrants express interest in signing former BUL FC midfielder

The box to box midfielder left Uganda to join Eswatini topflight league side Royal Leopards in 2019.

Newly promoted Gadaffi FC are in advanced negotiations to sign former BUL FC midfielder Yunus Sibira, Swift Sports can reliably confirm.

A two year contract has been tabled for Sibira who is set to make a return to Ugandan topflight football after an absence of two years.

Sibira left Uganda in 2019 and joined Eswatini topflight league side Royal Leopards but he is currently a free agent.

The box to box midfielder last featured for BUL FC, a club he played for four seasons until the 2018/19 campaign.

Sibira joined BUL in the 2014/15 season from Kirinya Jinja SS which is currently known as Busoga United.

Gadaffi won promotion to the topflight last week and have already appointed former SC Villa coach Steven Bogere as their new head coach.

The club was under the tutelage of Hassan Zzungu as they beat Proline 2-0 at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru in the Big League promotion play off final.

Nicknamed the Soldier Boys, Gadaffi have already signed former Mbale Heroes captain Jamaldin Buchochera on a two year contract as reported by this website.
