The Uganda Netball Federation has approved the 2019 budget of Shs2.1billion during the extra general meeting held at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo on Saturday 27th April, 2019.

It should be noted that during the Federation’s annual general meeting last month, the delegates refused to approve a proposed budget of Shs3.3 billions due to various loopholes.

William Bwambale the vice president administration in the UNF thanked the finance committee for clearing the loopholes that were in the first proposed budget. He is also confident that the Government will be able to put the budget into consideration.

“We called upon for this extra general meeting to see that we come up with a clear proposed budget. Last time we had alot of loopholes in the budget but our finance committee has done a tremendous job to see that we come up with a clear one this time.

I also thank the delegates for the approval and we are confident that the Government will get us the needed funds. I believe they will do the needful like in the past.”

Bwambale also highlighted the press on the National team preparations for this year’s Netball showpiece in Liverpool, England.

“The national team is preparing well and they will be camping at ARSV Netball grounds in Nabweru. This is a ground that looks exactly the same as those in England, we believe this will help our players prepare well for the event.”

Our target in the Netball world cup this year is to finish among the top four teams.”
