NETBALL : Outgoing executive officially hands over to the new executive

The outgoing Uganda Netball Federation has officially handed over to the new executive.

The event was held on Friday morning at the Federation’s old offices located at Lugogo Sports Complex.

Former Uganda Netball Federation President Susan Anek expressed her delight upon handing over to the new executive and advised them to always connect with people.

“I am so happy and relieved to hand over the Netball office which I received with only one sheet of paper. I thank my team for the tremendous work and we have left no debt.” It is not easy to be a leader, this is a voluntary activity. ”

I call upon the new executive to push the Federation higher because we have left a well levelled ground. The new executive has to connect with people to achieve like we have achieved. ”

Anek also says that she is ready to work with the new executive in case they approach her

“I have heard it from people, but officially no body has approached me to come and work with the new executive. I am free to work with them for the good of the game of Netball.”

Mr.Richard Muhumuza the new executive Vice President Technical who received the instruments on behalf of President Sarah Babirye Kityo.

“Today is a historical day, we thank the old executive led by Anek. We have received all the instruments of power and we promise the public that Netball will not remain the same. We are going to start from where Anek has stopped and we are hopeful that we are going to make the game number one in Africa.”

Muhumuza said.

At the handover ceremony, National Council of Sports was represented by Assistant General Secretary Administration Kayigwa Tito, Council member and Chairperson technical committee Cecilia Anyakoit and Nankya Annie the Administrative Secretary, technical committee and also in charge of Netball Affairs at NCS.
