Buddo Secondary school humbled perennial winners St. Mary’s Kitende ( 19-17) in the Novice Netball Championship final played at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. St. Noa Girls Zana edged Exodus College (33-20) to finish third.
The two day event started on Friday 8th and reached it’s climax on Saturday 9th March and comprised of 20 secondary schools which were grouped into four groups.

Buddo SS who emerged as the winners were in group A alongside East African Netball champions St. Noa Girls Zana, High Standard Kateera, St. Andrea and Amity SS. In the quarterfinals they edged out Gombe SS (29-10) before eliminating Exodus college (20-17) in the semis.
The runners up St.Mary’s Kitende finished on top of group D before defeating Baptist College (23-13) in the quarterfinals and in the semis they were better of neighbours St. Noa Girls (23-21).
Buddo and St.Mary’s SS Kitende will again face off in a week’s time in the National Netball Schools Championships which will be held at Kasana Boys School in Luweero district.
