BRIGHT STARS 1-1 MASAVU: Nelson Senkantuka’s 91st minute free kick denies Masavu 3rd consecutive win.

Bright Stars F.C came from a goal down in late minutes to equalize 1-1 against Masavu F.C.

Both teams played to a shy goalless draw in the first 45 minutes with a lot of defensive approach from both tacticians.

In the 51st minute Fred Kajoba made some changes as Remex Kasozi and Sula Sebbunza paved way for Moses Okot and Opejo Kokas respectively.

The hosts who had lost their previous game 1-0 away to SC Villa found themselves trailing to Masavu in the 66th minute.

Akram Kakembo scored in his own net giving the visitors a precious lead which gave them hope for winning 3 in a raw.

Bright Stars pushed harder and kept pressing for an equalizer which paid them off with a penalty in the 84th minute which Captain, Nelson Ssekantuka missed.

Bright Stars didn’t despair as Masavu looked suspect and in the 91st minute, Nelson who had missed a penalty minutes a go played the hero scoring from a free kick.

The result leaves Bright Stars 5th on table with 18 points in 12 games while Masavu F.C remain in the relegation zone, 15 with 11 points in 12 games.
