Masavu Fc striker Abraham Ndugwa netted his first goal in the national team colours on his debut during the Cranes 3-1 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in the international friendly.

Ndugwa replaced William Kizito Luwagga in the 53rd minute for his first international cap.

The Masavu skipper expressed his delight for scoring his first goal on his international debut and attributed it to the national team head coach for the trust. He says,

I feel proud to have scored for my country on my debut. It’s not easy especially when you are coming from a team that is in relegation to score on your debut. I thank the coach for trusting me and he told me when coming on that I was going to score.”

Ndugwa is expected to put up the same impressive display during the Cranes second international friendly against Malawi on Tuesday at Namboole.
