NBL: UPDF relegates Falcons.

Having had a poor season, StarTimes Falcons had one last stand against UPDF Tomahawks in a game both teams were fighting to survive relegation.

UPDF came out strong leading all 4 quarters ,16-14, 35-23, 50-41 and 70-66. The result condemned former champions to playing in Division 2 next season.

Bernard Okumu scored the highest points of the game, 23 while his teamate Asiku Dickson and two UPDF players in Felix Mukunzi and Muhumuza Moses each scored 20 points.

Falcons who was founded by the late Ssimbwa John (r.i.p), had a disappointing season, winning only 5 matches out of 22 and losing 17, winning 2 games more than another already relegated side, Nkumba Marines.

Falcons lost Stephen Omony to City Oilers at the beginning of the season but they will take consolation in the great seasonal performance by Bernard Okumu who scored 323 points.

Warriors’ Micheal Buzangu is 2nd with 354 points while Betway Power’s Micheal Mikiadi is the leader with 410 points on the table of highest points scorers.
