NBL playoffs kick off as Power checks Ndejje University.

After the women’s opener of the playoffs between A1 Challenge and Nkumba Lady Marines, 3rd place Betway Power will take on 6th place Ndejje university at 20:00

The 5 time champions who had an exciting Zone V tournament reaching the semis though losing to Rwanda’s Patriots, desire to pick a 6th league trophy and join record holders, Falcons.

Power play a stubborn Ndejje side that has grabbed wins against odds including one against their playoffs opponents in the second round of regular season.

Power won the first round game with a 7 point difference , 88-81 while Ndejje took the second round match winning by 4 points, 69-65.

Power will look up at their inspirational captain, Ikong Joseph and hope Michael Mikiadi who scored 410 points, the highest in the regular season 2017 gives them a great performance.

Paul Odong will be another player Ndejje university will have to keep checked if they are to give themselves any chance against angry Power.

Odong laid 57 points for Power in regular season just a point less than Micheal Buzangu, Micheal Bwanga, Stephen Omony and Jurua Vinnie, all who made 58 assists.

Power will have to raise their discipline as they try to stop Ndejje’s Innocent Ochera who scored a total of 255 points as well as Maker Deng who made 171 total rebounds in the regular season.
