Nanjeru, Mulindwa excel in first Beach Woodball Circuit

The first Beach Woodball Circuit of 2020 was successfully held on Sunday, 9th February at Spenah Beach in Entebbe.

There were a couple of astonishing performances from various players who participated in several gender based categories.

Top performers

Mulindwa Ronald of Makerere University Business School excelled in the Men’s singles with 37 strokes to beat Byamukama Bridge who finished second with 38 strokes.

Geoffrey Towongo finished third with 39 strokes.

In the Women category, Zawedde Lilian came out on top with 40 strokes to beat Nalubega Joyce and Naula Jackie who finished second and third with 41 and 45 strokes respectively.

Masiga Jackson claimed gold in the Corporate Men singles with 44 strokes while Bukenya Godfrey and Masimbi Aziz finished second and third with 47 strokes apiece.

For the Women category, Nandugwa Flavia carried a two stroke lead to win with 51 strokes ahead of Kagere Aisha and Nansereko Maria who both returned 53 strokes apiece.

•Men doubles seniors

The pairing of Gwaaka Brian and Byamukama Bridge scored 18 strokes to take the men’s honours ahead of Adupa Joel and Opio Emma, Otim Simon and Nadiope who returned with 21 strokes apiece to finish second and third respectively.

In women category, Mukoova Joan and Nabachwa won gold with 24 strokes.

•Mixed Doubles

Kedi Thomas and Nanjeru Denise put up an outstanding performance to claim gold with 19 strokes.

Masimbi Aziz and Osire William excelled in the Corporate Men’s doubles with 19 strokes whereas Nansereko Maria and Nakkazi won in the Women category with 22 strokes.

Bukenya Godfrey and Mukamba won the Corporate mixed doubles with 22 strokes.
