The high-flying Lady Doves edged Farida Bulega’s Kampala Queens 1-0 to seal a place in this year’s FUFA Women Elite League final.

Crested Cranes midfielder Riticia Nabbosa scored the all important goal in the 30th minute of the game.

Nabbosa was on a receiving end of a Maggie Kayima long free kick before before beating Lydia Adubango from close range.

Bulega brought on Mable Kusasira for the tied legs of Annet Nakimbugwe and later Monica Namwase for Zaina Namuleme but never got the leveller.

Lady Doves will now play UCU Lady Cardinals in the final slated for Sunday June 2nd.

UCU Lady Cardinals defeated defending champions Kawempe Muslim 4-2 in the first semi final.

Oliver Mbekeka’s coached team become the first debutants to reach the final and are in pursuit for a double with a FUFA Women’s Cup final to play.
