MYDA ‘s relegation fate has been sealed this evening after falling to an embarrassing 6-1 defeat to BUL FC at their own home King George IV stadium Tororo.
BUL has scored a total of 10 goals against the Tororo based team after beating them 4-1 in the first round at Bugembe.
Joseph Ssemujju opened the floodgates in the 22nd minute, followed by another goal from Simon Peter Oketch who also scored in the reverse fixture.
Ssemujju completed his brace at the 44th minute before Rashid Mpata converted a penalty to pull one for the hosts just a minute to the break.
10 minutes after resumption to the second period, striker Musa Esenu also recorded his second against MYDA after scoring the opener in the first round match at Bugembe.
Deogratious Ojok sealed MYDA’s fate with a penalty conversion that sent the scoreline to 6-1 and consequently put MYDA’s journey in the topflight to an end.
They join Kitara FC as the two sides to have faced the drop pending one more team .
Busoga United on 26 points , Kyetume on 23 and Onduparaka 28 appear to be the candidates from which one will join the already relegated couple.
BUL have all but sealed their place in next season’s Uganda Premier league with the 3 points that have sent them to 33 points with 3 games left to play.
The two teams will return to action on Wednesday 23rd as MYDA visit Express and BUL host Vipers SC
