Mutyaba on the double as KCCA ease past Kirinya


In form striker Mike Mutyaba has scored an impressive double to guide KCCA to a deserved win over Kirinya JSS at their home in Jinja.

His first goal of the evening came in the 27th minute after being fed by strike partner Sadat Anaku who also capped his full debut with a mature display. The youngster was the first player to test Sanon Mulabi with a hard shot which he pushed into the corner.

The game was sent into half time with the table leaders in the driving seat courtesy of that goal from Mutyaba.

Returning for the second period, Abbey Kikomeko tried to change tactics by introducing the pact Fiscal Muwawu for Dan Sewava in an attempt to chase the game.

However, it was KCCA who recorded another score with Mutyaba netting his 9th goal of the season in the 53rd minute after expertly controlling a superb assist from Muwadda Mawejje.

This victory cements KCCA’s lead at the top with 52 points, four above Vipers SC in second place with six games left to play.

Kirinya Jinja SS return to action on 2nd April when they host Bright Stars at the Mighty Arena in Jinja. They currently sit 8th on the log with 33 points.

KCCA FC will also face off against Vipers in a potential title decider on 4th April at the Star times stadium Lugogo.
