” The CDP accordingly orders that;
1. Muteesa I Royal University Women FC be demoted in accordance with
Article 24 (11) of the FUFA Competition rules.
2. The table standings be updated in accordance with Article 24 of the Rules.” Reads part of the statement released by CDP.

The decision implies that all results that involved Muteesa I Royal University have been nullified and the table updated accordingly.

Muteesa University were hit by financial constraints that saw almost the entire team depart without replacements.

The team was only involved in three physically played games against Kawempe Muslim (lost 4-0), Lady Doves (lost 3-0) and Uganda Martyrs (lost 3-0).

Their game against UCU Lady Cardinals in Mukono was also not played because they failed to raise the minimum amount of players required for a match.

The verdict leaves only seven teams in the league who will now battle for the championship.
