Mutebi cautions Gaddafi against complacency

KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has cautioned Onduparaka playmaker Gaddafi Gadinho Anguzu not to get carried away with the Pilsner accolade.

The duo walked away with the Pilsner Coach and player of the month of December accolades at Kati Kati Restaurant, Lugogo.

The gaffer also called upon the Onduparaka playmaker to stay focused and work hard for more accolades.

“I usually say, Gaddafi is among the players with unfinished business because I have seen him since his started his football career. He needs to stay focused and not get carried away by the money. He has to continue working hard to shine beyond his local West Nile. I believe he deserved to win the accolade basing on his performances exhibited in the month of December.” He noted

Mike appreciated Pilsner for the initiative since it helps to motivate both the players and coaches.

“It’s great for me to win the accolade because it encourages us who earn from the game to work hard.” Personally the accolade is more important than the cash because I will always look at it and say that I did win this, but I applaud Uganda Breweries for the initiative and the UPL.” Added the KCCA FC tactician.

Mike Mutebi’s side scooped 12 points out of the possible 15 and this was the reason he did beat URA FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa who managed 8 points out of the possible 15.

Gaddafi Gadinho Anguzu beat the current league top scorer Bashir Mutanda for to be crowned player of the month. He scored two goals in 5 games and won two player of the month awards while Mutanda scored four goals in the five games he played.

Both Mike Mutebi and Gaddafi Gadinho walked home with one million each and an accolade. They join previous winners Javier Martinez Espinoza (Vipers), Madondo, ( Kirinya) and Mbarara City duo of Livingston Mbabazi and Paul Mucurezi.
