Murushid Juuko has finally put an end to the uncertainty hovering around his future at Express.
The Uganda Cranes experienced center back has signed a one year contract extension with the Uganda Premier League champions.
Juuko was an instrumental figure for the Red Eagles last season as they successfully won their 7th league title which was their first since 2012.
” It’s a great feeling to stay at this great club, this was bound to happen because of the environment we have at the club, everyone from the chairman down to the groundsman work as a team, the preparation too is up there so I am 100% sure I am at the right team.”
Juuko said via the club’s website.
” As a team I believe we’ve prepared well, the boys are past celebrating the league win and focus is on the Kagame Cup, I am positive we shall do well.”
The former Bunamwaya, Entebbe, Victoria University, Simba SC and Wydad Casablanca defender formed a formidable center back pairing with Isa Lumu last season.
Express FC are in preparations for the CECAFA Kagame Cup to be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. They are placed in group C alongside Nyasa Bullets of Malawi and Yanga Africans of Tanzania.
