Murushid Juuko retires from International football

Juuko's last Cranes appearance ended in a disappointment when he was shown red against Mali in 2022 World Cup Qualifying Group E match at the St Mary’s Stadium Kitende in Entebbe in September, 2021.

Express FC defender Murushid Juuko has announced his retirement from International football.

The development was confirmed on Thursday morning in letter the defender wrote to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations

“If you told me as a young boy I would have played for my country over 50 caps and lined up against some of the biggest national teams. I would have told you it was a fantasy. I am fortunate to have realized those dreams however I feel I have served the nation enough and it’s time for me to call it a day with the Uganda Cranes.”

This hasn’t been a simple decision for me to make but together with my family and management we think this is the right step for me to take.”
