Vipers SC have agreed a deal in principle to sign Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Jjuuko.

Jjuuko is currently a free agent having parted ways with Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.

Swift Sports understands that the experienced defender has already negotiated personal terms with an agreement to put pen to paper on a two year contract with the Uganda Premier league champions.

The move will see him return to a side he once featured for in 2009 to 2012 before joining SC Victoria University (now defunct).

He also spent five years at Tanzania topflight side Simba winning the 2018/19 Tanzanian Premier league, Azam Sports Federation Cup in 2017, Mapinduzi Cup in 2015 and the SportPesa Super Cup in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

After a successful 2019 continental showpiece in Egypt, Jjuuko joined Wydad Casablanca.
