Mujuzi’s late penalty condemns UPDF to first defeat

Musitafa Mujuzi scored a late penalty for Kyetume FC as they edged UPDF FC 1-0 at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Mujuzi converted from the spot in the last minute of the game following a foul on Steven Kabuye in the forbidden area condemning UPDF FC to their first defeat of the season.

Referee Deograciuos Opio had earlier on awarded a penalty to UPDF only defender Fred Okot’s efforts to be saved by goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.

A win was Kyetume FC’s
first victory of the season as they remain unbeaten after match day four.

Joel Mutakubwa the Kyetume FC custodian was named man of the match.

Kyetume FC now move to the sixth position on the log of sixteen with six points.

Despite a loss UPDF Football Club remain third with nine points behind Police FC and KCCA FC in the first and second positions respectively.

Match day five will see Kyetume FC visit BUL FC on Sunday 20th at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe while UPDF is to host Police FC at Bombo Barracks grounds.
