Mucurezi lone strike sends Mbarara City to the log summit

Mbarara City 1-0 BUL FC

Mbarara City continued to enjoy an impressive run with a slender 1-0 victory over BUL FC in their first home league game at Kakyeka.

Paul Mucurezi struck the all important goal in the 30th minute to ensure the Ankole Lions clinch the summit of the league with 16 points from 8 games played.

BUL FC remain winless against the Ankole Lions in all the three encounters  they have played against each other and defeat in Mbarara means they lost their first game on the road this season.

Mbarara City preserve their 100% home record in the 4 games they have hosted both at Kavumba and Kakyeka against Express FC, SC Villa, Kirinya Jinja SS and BUL FC.

The Charles Livingstone Mbabazi’s coached men are now top of table on 16 points from while BUL FC slips to 5th with 14 points from 8 games.

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday 30th- November as Mbarara City visits Police at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo whereas BUL FC will be hosting Vipers SC at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
