MTN Uganda has today announced the renewal of their sponsorship of Arua based side Onduparaka FC to a tune of Ushs 300m.
The partnership will see MTN become the title merchandise of all the club kits for the 2019/20 football season.
The telecommunications company logo will feature on all Onduparaka FC kits.
MTN will also get content and image rights for players, get rights to brand at both home and away games. The new partnership will bring a total of Ushs 690m, MTN has invested in the Arua outfit since 2017/18 season.
MTN manager and communications head Martin Sebuliba highlighted that they are thrilled to renew their partnership with the club.
“We are thrilled to have renewed our sponsorship with Onduparaka FC. The club’s consistency, fan base and success in Uganda’s topflight division remains attractive for our sponsorship package.”
“It was an easy decision for us to renew the Sponsorship and become the merchandise sponsors.”
Onduparaka FC patron and Member of Parliament honourable Bernard Atiku was overwhelmed with the Sponsorship and will help them meet their objectives.
“Onduparaka FC has achieved tremendous success against all odds. There were sceptics who thought that we would never become a giant, but we proved then all wrong. Today we pride ourselves as having the biggest sporting brand in country”.

In the past, MTN has previously sponsored Uganda Cranes teams in football and Cricket, a club in the National Rugby league and the National Basketball league. The new Onduparaka FC new Jersey for the 2019/20 season will officially be unveiled ahead if their league encounter with Bright Stars in Mwerwere.
