SINAN RAJUB SENOGA

Vejle Boldklub 1-1 Vendsyssel FF

Moses Opondo was unfortunate his first half goal could not win all three points for Vendsyssel FF at Vejle Boldklub in the Danish Superliga match played on Saturday.

The Ugandan born offensive midfielder put Vendsyssel in an early lead in the 8th minute but Gustaf Nilsson tied the scores at 1-1 in the final four minutes of the game.

Opondo’s goal was his fourth of the season and subsequently made him Vendsyssel FF’s top scorer this season.

He was later withdrawn at the hour mark for Danish central midfielder Morten Knudsen.

The result implies that Opondo and teammates remain 12th on the 14-team table whilst heading into the final game of the regular season against Nordsjaelland next week on Sunday 17th March.

Opondo will be part of Uganda Cranes final AFCON qualifiers game against Tanzania on 24th March after being named in Sebastien Desabre’s squad.
