The mid season transfer window of Kenya premier league ended few weeks back with 107 players moving from one club to another.
Sofapaka FC was the busiest club in this summer with over 14 signings.
In this transfer window we have seen 16 foreign players joining one of the most entertaining leagues in East Africa with 11 players from Uganda ,2 players from Tanzania and Burundi with one player from Rwanda.
The disappointing factor in the moves for Ugandans who have switched to Kenya, 80% have made free transfers,this means that Ugandan clubs have not benefited financially from these deals.
Among the deals completed that involve Ugandans so far include the following,
Feni Ali left URA Fc for Sofapaka Fc at undisclosed Fee.
Musa Mudde who joined AFC Leaopards from Bandari Fc on undisclosed fee.
Keziron Kizito left Vipers Sc for AFC Leopards on a free transfer in this summer.
Ivan Kiweewa Kalolo joined Bandari Fc from Ugandan club The Saints also as a free agent.
Farouk Mudoola left Busia Fisheries for Muhoroni Fc on a free transfer.
Umar Kasumba switched from Sc Villa to Sofapaka as a free agent.
Aloro Rodgers Modeste also signed for Sofapaka from Saints as a free agent.
Allan Owinyi completed his move from URA to Kenyan side Thika Fc as a free agent
Mathias Kigonya renewed his contract with Sofapaka but also joined his current club from Bright stars of Uganda.
Steven Sande joined from Maroons FC to Kakamega Home boys FC
Achema Robert from Sc Villa,Sula Bagala from relegated Lweza, Oromchan villa and Mukisa Junior all joined from Bul Fc to Western Stima Fc
The list above has joined another big number of Ugandan players who earn a living from the Kenyan clubs which include ; Walusimbi Godfrey, Rama Yakoub, Hashim Sempala, Moses Ndawula among others
