Nicolas Onissé, the player manager of Ugandan forward Miya Farouk, has broken the silence on the recent transfer links involving his player.

Speaking to Turkish website Timetürk, Onissé said there has not been any official offer tabled for Miya.

Onissé asserted that the Uganda Cranes forward is focused towards giving his best for Konyaspor in the upcoming Turkish Super League season.

” Miya is very happy in Konyaspor and will give his best for his team this year,”

Said Onissé who is the CEO of Sportback Group that handles Miya and many other players.

“Miya will be one hundred percent ready, and you will see it in training.”

He added.

Miya has one year left on his employment contract having joined the Anatolian Eagles in August 2019 from Croatian side HNK Gorica.

Early this month, Miya was linked to a move from Konyaspor with Timetürk suggesting that Zamalek officials inquired about the availability of the Cranes forward.

The Uganda Cranes forward was Konyaspor’s top scorer in his debut season (2019/20) with eight goals and three assists in 25 games but had a disappointing campaign last season.

He spent the better part of last season on the fringes following a muscle strain that limited him to only 16 out of the possible 40 league games.

Miya and his Konyaspor teammates are currently in their preseason training ahead of the 2021/21 Turkish Super League that kicks off on August 13th.
