Ugandan offensive player Farouk Miya got off the mark with an equalizer for his Azerbaijani outfit Sabail FK in a 1-1 draw with Kapaz FC at the Bayil Arena.

Brazilian forward Dario Da Silva had given Kapaz FC a lead in the 19th minute before Miya levelled matters 6 minutes later.

The former Vipers man received a well delivered ball from Aqsin Qurbail from the by-line and tucked in a sublime strike from 12 yards.

Miya’s 25th minute strike was his first goal in the Sabail FK colours since crossing over from Belgian giants Standard Liege on loan in February.

The match result leaves Sabail FK in the 7th place on the 8-team table with 20 points garnered from 24 games played. Kapaz FC remain bottom placed with 13 points.

Miya will be in action next week on Saturday 29th April 2018 when Sabail FK play hosts to third placed Sumqayit FC
