Mike Mutebi starts Rwandan expedition with tricky tie against APR

This will be the first time Mike Mutebi will be coaching a foreign club

Mike Mutebi will officially start his new role as AS Kigali head coach with a duel against champions APR FC on Saturday afternoon at the Kigali Stadium.

Mutebi was unveiled as AS Kigali new coach taking over Jimmy Muliisa who was serving in interim role following the sacking of Eric Nshimiyimana last month.

The former KCCA tactician was unveiled on two year contract alongside Jackson Mayanja who will be serving as his immediate deputy.

The duo watched AS Kigali’s most recent game against Bugesera on Wednesday before they were officially unveiled.

AS Kigali currently sit third on the table with 23 points from 13 games played.

Their match day opponents APR lead the league table with 27 points and have played two games less.
