Uganda Cranes midfielder Yasser Mugerwa has mutually terminated his employment contract with Ethiopian side Fasil Kenema.
Mugerwa had five months left on his contract but is reportedly joining relegation threatened side Suhul Shire Football club in the Ethiopian topflight on a one-year deal.
” It was nice working with you, every time I played I sacrificed for the beautiful fans but some times we have no choice life has to move on. I will miss every moment because Gondar had become a second home away from home, players had become brothers.
I wish the club the best and may Allah give me the best at my new home. Always an #Emperor.”
The former Orlando Pirates and URA FC midfield gem had joined Fasil Kenema from giants St. George on a two year contract in 2017.
Mugerwa has had first team football at the Gondar club something to think about and it is believed to be one of the aspects that precedented his departure.
Mugerwa a product of Nateete based soccer academy, Super Cubs, has also previously turned up for Gomba in the Masaza Cup tournament (2014), Nkumba University in the University Football League and the now defunct SC Victoria University.
Should his move to Suhul Shire FC materialise, the Cranes midfielder will be playing alongside fellow countrymen in the Ethiopian topflight Robert Odongkara (Adama City), Ismail Watenga (Ethiopia Bunna) and Chrizestom Ntambi (Ethiopia Bunna).
